Powers Bluff Area Trail is located just west of the information center at Powers Bluff. The trail is approximately 1.75 miles long and although primarily rated moderately advanced, some sections are rated difficult. The trail is very scenic, marked, and groomed during the winter season.

Richfield Area Trail is located seven miles north of Pittsville on County Trunk Highway A, and then one-half mile east on Heggelund Lane. The trail, approximately 5 miles long, is routed across open fields, through forests, and along Puff Creek to provide additional scenic value. There is also a 2 mile and 1 mile trail. All trails are marked and groomed during the winter season.

Sandhill Wildlife Area includes three distinct loops, varying in length from 2.5 to 5 miles. Bring your cross-country skis and experience the quiet cold of winter during a memorable wildlife watching adventure at Sandhill.

At each county trailhead there is a self-registration station for purchasing a daily or annual pass. The trail pass must be purchased from Wood County Parks and Forestry Department prior to entering the trail. Please call 715-421-8422 for current prices and information.
